Print Mottle Analyser

Purpose
KHEOPS is a laboratory sensor which allows you to accurately evaluate :
- the quality of offset impression, mottling, and the quality and precision of the coating operation,
- the roughness of the surface of paper, board or other flat material.
So this equipment has been developed for papermakers, boardmakers, ink manufacturers, coating suppliers, a.s.o.

A practical and sensitive device
The sensor (a pyramid) is connected to a PC. It contains essentially a CDD camera and two special light sources : a diffused light and a flat light on the surface. The sample is introduced by a little hinged door. The PC automatically sets the camera, analyses the image, calculates, displays and memorises the results.
KHEOPS is very sensitive and repeatable. The results are closely correlated with visual tests. The final mottling index is the result of the combination of 5 individual class size categories. These 5 class sizes can be pre-set by the operator depending on the application of KHEOPS.


A user's friendly software
The WINDOWS software has been developed by C.T.P. and TECHPAP Engineer, as well as industrial users, and is very easy to use : you need only to enter the sample reference, and enter it into the pyramid through the door.

- Index number is the result of 5 individual categories of class size. Minimum class : 0.5 to 1 mm.
